LOOK AT THOSE MAGGOT EYES
FILLED WITH PIOUS BILE
LOOK AT THOSE BLUE, CRACKED LIPS
HIDING A BLACK AND YELLOW TONGUE
RASPING ALL THOSE FUCKING LIES
YOU REEK OF PISS AND DEATH
HANG BY YOUR COLLAR
CHOKE ON THAT HOLY BREAD
THIS COUNTRY’S SLOWLY DYING
INFECTED BY THESE GHOULS
BLOOD AND WINE AND RAPE AND DEATH
INDUSTRIAL SCHOOLS.. BURN THEM DOWN
LET THE CHURCHES ROT INTO THE FUCKING GROUND
DROWN THEM IN THEIR BLOOD
DROWN THEM IN THEIR WINE
Ireland, a nation of silence and denial.
After gaining independence from Britain in 1922, unable to govern alone the revolutionaries handed swathes of power over to the Catholic Church, administrating schools, hospitals, jails and the now infamous child prisons or “Industrial Schools” and setting on course a bloody legacy of murder, rape and corruption. Children dumped in mass graves, thousands physically and sexually abused, and an entire country infected with the cult-like guilt of organised religion. Finally we see the true face of the church. A twisted fucking sadist.

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

This band's been one of my favorite acts in modern death metal for a while now, and their debut album got me sold on these guys really quick. honeycombguy

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
On their ferocious self-titled debut, the Australian punks pit d-beat percussion against gnarled, metallic melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 3, 2024
Aussie trio Burger Chef dish out a hearty helping of noise rock with a side of d-beat: messy, raw, and oh-so satisfying. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 20, 2022
This Australian group wraps D-beat in layers of psychedelic fuzz & squall for a howl from the depths of modern dystopia. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2018

I came accross Black Curse, and their first demo, on Greg Biehl / No Gleaming Light YT channel in late 2019 and a bit later, in 2020, as it was covid, a whole lot of time was spent at home listening to music.
In April 2020, I took a slap in my face. The songs that were already on the demo, with the new production here were so insane, it dragged me to hell. Black Curse is definitely one of the most violent band I listened in the last years. Next-level Black-Death metal for sure ! drs_dramm
